FIGHTING DISINFORMATION –
FROM INDIVIDUAL LEVEL TO STATE STRATEGY

The project "Strategy to Combat Disinformation for 2023-2025" developed by the Center for Freedom of Information should become a strategy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the near future. It should unite the efforts of the Government, civil society and citizens aimed at combating disinformation. The National Strategy provides framework, goal, modern methods and tools to combat disinformation. The document also defines the strategic directions of the fight against disinformation, which should guide the Government of the Republic of Armenia when communicating with society, the media and civil society. It provides a set of urgent actions aimed to protect the Republic, its institutions and citizens from disinformation.

The "Strategy to Combat Disinformation for 2023-2025" includes 3 strategic directions with an appropriate set of actions:

1. Strengthening the ability of RA institutions to detect, analyze and prevent disinformation.
2. Improving the interaction and mobilization of the private sector.
3. Raising the level of media education, the formation of public opposition to disinformation.
