It consists in dividing the numerically superior enemy formation into isolated groups, separated from each other and from the main forces, then followed by methodical destruction. The most characteristic feature of Motti tactics is the attack of small, mobile groups on dispersed enemy units (in other words, on columns of troops) in order to inflict as much damage as possible to the enemy's communications, to stop and to immobilize enemy’s forces.
