SOME FEATURES OF RADIO COMMUNICATION IN THE MOUNTAINS

Peculiar physical, geographical and climatic conditions of mountainous regions have a great influence on the preparation and conduct of military operations. Rugged terrain creates significant difficulties for the maneuvering of troops and the use of all types of weapons and military equipment.

Establishing radio communication in the mountains is incomparably more difficult than on the plains. To maintain continuous communication in the mountains, special attention should be paid to the duplication (redundancy) of communication.
